When Exchange Agent attemps to copy the Exchange DB, the Exchage Datastore process crashes complaining that it couldn't access a tmp.log file. The event logs (application) show that the IS is crashing because it can't create the tmp.edb log. Which makes no sense because there is over a gig and a half free there. Since my post, I have run the Exchange optimizer and moved the private and public stores off of that drive to a newer, faster, larger one. So far the system has stayed up for almost 1 week, (I hate saying things like that ... famous last words) Maybe there were some bad sectors on the other drive that were getting hit each time the logs tried to roll over or something.
