trg Posted March 23, 2002 Report Share Posted March 23, 2002 It would be nice if I could mix DAT and CD-RW media in one backup set. I would do new-media backups of all volumes to DAT. My DAT drive can store 4-8 GB per tape, which is a much greater capacity than CD-RW discs, and allows more unattended operation. On the other hand, CD-RW is cheaper and faster, making it better for subsequent daily incremental backups which fit easly on one disc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have noted this suggestion. We do have a function to add a backup set to another type of media backupset.
