gkowalsky6
Good day, After a couple of months of incremental backups to a tape drive, I am getting a _catalog_ (.rbc) file size bloated to approximately 0.5GB. Are there any dangers? If so, how can they be avoided? System: W2K Pro fully patched/512MB RAM/plenty of free HD space, Retrospect 6.0.206 Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated. AmyJ
Go to Configure > Backup Sets and get Properties for the set in question. Choose the option to "Keep the catalog compressed."
gkowalsky6
Thank you for the reply. I did not make myself clear, sorry. Actually, I would like to know are there any dangers in these catalog files' size. For example, is the bigger catalog file makes it more prone to corruption? TIA!
