randm Posted March 21, 2002 Report Share Posted March 21, 2002 Hi all I'm running Retrospect 4.1 (now 4.3 as of today) on a mac and backing up a LInux server daily using an "A" set and "B" set incremental backup runing on alternate days. Everthing going sweet since installation, then we move business, restablish network as before and install new server, new version of linux. Everthing going smoothly for a couple of months then out of the blue Retrospect snapshots the whole server again. It thinks, I guess, that all the files have been modified. Then everthing goes along fine, daily incrementals as per usual and a few weeks later it snapshots it again. Everytime it snapshots 35Gb it uses up several dat tapes, read "costs dollars" and time. This seems to happen at random. Anyone got any ideas?? Maybe I should be posting this in a Linux forum. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
