trts04
When I start Retrospect Version 7.7 under Windows Server 2008, it begins the Proactive Backup polling, but shuts down within 2 minutes without any error message in the Operations Log. When I look at the Windows event log under applications, this is posted each time: The description for Event ID 2 from source Retrospect cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: Proactive Backup started The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file I tried reinstalling Retrospect without any success in fixing the issue. Daniels
Try disabling all scripts since it sounds like the proactive script is having trouble executing thus causing Retrospect to crash. I would also check all your scripts to make sure they are running correctly.
