Camelhump
Resolved - after 3 restarts of the computer, and 1 system preference -> stop/start cycle of the engine. The engine an console are talking again.
Maser
How soon were you launching the console after system restart? I have the console in my startup items at engine restart and it always shows the 127.0.0.1 until the engine actually gets rolling (as the console launches faster than the engine starts up.) And then there's another 2 minutes before the console populates.
Daniels
I have also found that after a restart of the engine the console will not immediately connect to the engine and report not connected for about a minute but will eventually populate. Camelhump
Final solution : clone (using CCC) existing client that wont connect (-519). Install new OS use migration assistant to move everything but setting back install retro client 1.5 - 4 hours/machine
Camelhump
right post - wrong thread So.... the engine/console issue is an EVERY TIME thing. every time the computer is restarted, the engine and console will not talk. Only stopping and restarting the engine allows the console to talk to the engine.
