jeffb
I am running OSX 10.2, and I cannot start Retrospect 4.3 from OS9. I tried to start the app. as the guide sez, start from Multiple Users, but the 'application' area there is grayed out, and I cannot access it. 4.3 Retrospect worked under 9.2, unti I upgradded to 10.2. Any help here, other than the full upgrade of $199? "Mac OS 9's Multiple Users prevents Retrospect from launching automatically to execute its scheduled scripts. Before you leave the backup Macintosh, start Retrospect manually from within Multiple Users. This allows Retrospect to run scripts as scheduled." AmyJ
In reply to: I am running OSX 10.2, and I cannot start Retrospect 4.3 from OS9. So, are you saying that the application is failing to launch when using Classic mode within the OS X system, or is it failing to launch when you are booted into your OS 9 system? Retrospect is not supported running in Classic mode while booted in OS X. We don't have a fully compatible version of Retrospect currently for Jaguar (10.2). The Jaguar compatibility statement is in our Knowledgebase is at: Mac OS 10.2 (Jaguar) Support and Retrospect An update for full compatibility will be released in the future, and we'll post to the forum when it's available. AmyJ
While it may have launched in earlier versions of OS X through Classic mode, the program will not perform properly while in this mode, and is not supported. Using 4.3, you must boot into OS 9.
