dgapinski
Hello, I am an administrator who after upgrading one of my workstations to Windows XP Pro using Retrospect client 5.15, am having problems completing backups from time to time. Either the process will freeze or error out and I will not be able to connect the server to my clients, with -530 errors being the common culprit. Usually if I reboot the client, all is well. My question is, is this known and expected behavior with 5.15? The sales folks recommended upgrading to 6.0. It is not that I do not believe them, but I need to know what behaviors I can expect using 5.15 with Windows XP as a means of convincing my boss to put forth the money to upgrade. If you might be able to provide information on what works (or what doesn't) with this combo, I would greatly appreciate it & hope to have my order in soon! My best, Dan Gapinski
AmyJ
Retrospect 5.15 is not Windows XP compatible. The first version of Retrospect released that supports XP, as a Retrospect client or running the application, was Retrospect 5.6. The current release is Retrospect 6.0.
