Date Accessed Rule Not Working

Recommended Posts

Has anyone gotten the "Date Accessed" rule to work?

Running Retrospect 8.2

If I set the rule to include files accessed before a certain date, nothing copies. Even if that date is today.

If I set the rule to exclude files newer then a certain date, it still copies all the newer files. It doesn't matter how far back the date it is, nothing is excluded.

It seems like the Date Accessed selector is completely broken.

I believe the reason for this is that Macs do not store the "date accessed" but does store the "date modified". Try using the "date modified" condition and see if that works. The "date accessed" only applies to Windows which stores this information.
