gnewman
I've found a number of questions in the forum asking when a version of Retrospect for Windows will include a management console, such as in V.8x for Mac. I don't see any answers though. I'm sure management has their hands full moving from EMC to Roxio, but the development work should still be going on, no? Would appreciate an ETA for at least a beta. Mayoff
Yes, it is still planned but I do not have a date. For now I believe you can use the iPhone app with Retrospect 7.
gnewman
The iPhone Retrospect app (v1.1 updated 7/26/10) is only for Retrospect Server v8 for Mac per the listing on the Apple store. It would be kind of odd to be able to manage a v7.7 with an iPhone but not with a PC. I look forward to an ETA on v8.x for PC or at least this management app available for Retrospect Multiserver for PC
Mayoff
The description in iTunes is pretty clear "Introduces monitoring of Retrospect 7.7 servers running on Windows systems"
gnewman
Noted, but monitoring and management are very different things. Cheers.
