Catalogue out of sync error after backup maintenance

 

The product has worked successfully on this machine, however for the past week backups are not completing. The log error message is as follows :-

 

Normal backup using DirectBackup at 22/08/2010 20:00

To Backup Set WORKSTN1...

-22/08/2010 20:00:21: Copying Local Disk (C:)

Catalog File out of sync with Backup Set " WORKSTN1".

To repair it, use Tools>Repair Catalog>Update existing Catalog File.

22/08/2010 20:07:51: Execution incomplete

Remaining: 5081 files, 9.1 GB

Completed: 0 files, zero KB

Performance: 0.0 MB/minute

How do I rebuild the catalog file in Express HD 2.0?

 

including undertaking this procedure as the first user operation after a re-boot. However the backup following each maintenance process always fails.

 

The environment is :-

Express HD version 2.5.125

Windows XP Professional V2002 SP3

PC – Dell Vostro 200 3G ram

Backup Drive – Networked Omega StoreCentre 2.

 

Might anyone know how to fix this? If so, many thanks in advance.
