hupper Posted September 20, 2002 Report Share Posted September 20, 2002 I'm getting an error -53 and the message that "that the volume is off line (i.e. that the volume cannot be found)." A retropect online document cites the problem as an OS X bug in which the volume creation date is null or empty, but I see a creation date of 1969 on the server HD. My guess is that the formatting utility I used from Apple is bad...giving this bogus file creation date. Still why cannot Retrospect handle this date? Also, any suggestions beyond a full backup, reformat, and the full restore. I have this situation on three servers. Not only does backup abort it also caused Macintosh Manager (on 10.1.4 Server) to go deaf. Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
