Unexpected close ex_arcopy.cpp-2633

I have added a new removable drive to backup server. When I attempt to do a transfer snapshot to the new drive, Retrospect closes unexpectedly with an error: ex_arcopy.cpp-2633

I cannot find any information on this error

to clarify - I get the error when attempting to transfer snapshots to a removable sata drive (the hard drive in the enclosure is "new"). The error is "Assertion failure at ex_arcopy.cpp-2633 A copy of the error has been filed in assert_log.utx"

I cannot locate assert_log.utx anywhere on the backup server

If you try to transfer the snapshot to a backup set on a different drive do you still get the same assert? Is the destination set a Disk set or a file set? When you are doing the transfer snapshot what transfer option are you choosing?
