Maser Posted March 26, 2010 Report Share Posted March 26, 2010 If you then try to backup your Mac with the bad PDF, do you get the same -557 error? If so, you should still send that PDF to EMC. A *file* (unless it has some weird characters in it's name -- and even then...) shouldn't cause the backup to error out. It would be good if you can get this to them while they are in progress on the upcoming bug-fix release. Maybe it'll make it into the release? I copied the PDF to my Mac and when I tried to open it Acrobat gave me an error (see attached). Be very careful what you are doing here. This perhaps could be one of the trojan / virus PDF exploits that isn't a "real" PDF file. Still, Retrospect should be able to back it up.
