AMIG
I'm hoping someone can explain what I'm missing. Here's where I am so far. Running a Dell PowerVault 130T (qualified device) with four DLT7000 drives. Everything was ok when I was using an Adaptec HVD SCSI adapter. Switched to a QLOgic fiber HBA and can no longer get things to configure (no I don't want to go back to the Adaptec). All devices (PV130T and the 4 drives) are showing up in Windows device manager. All have the latest drivers and firmware installed. All devices are mapping correctly in the Fiber-to-SCSI bridge (Compaq MDR). On a device scan Retrospect v7.7 is listing only the 4 DLT drives. The PV130T is showing up in the environment tab but there is no driver listed and consequently the unit is not showing up in the 'status' tab. Anyone? stavroska
Try disabling the devices (drives and library) in Windows Device Manager.
