Where is Source for Backups?

I have Retrospect Express 7.6.123, to backup to a Western Digital external drive. Found out recently that a normal backup wasn't picking up all my music and pictures (maybe other stuff too?). In comparing the files (in Windows Explorer), I find that (some of) the folder names on the external drive are different from the C drive. I can't figure out where the Retrospect 'looked' to backup the folders---because I don't have folders with that name. For example, my music files are in "My Documents/My Music" on the C drive---but are in "Dave's Documents/Dave's Music" after Retrospect backs them up---and some are missing. (I've done a search on the external drive, and the files are not there!)

Can someone tell me where---exactly---Retrospect looks for Document (or other) folders? Any guesses why it would create folders with a different name?

Failing that, can someone tell me how to completely erase (delete) all files on the external drive, so that I can just start the whole process over, fresh? Is there a way to delete or erase the external drive from within Retrospect---or would I do this somehow through Windows XP?

Thanks.
