bhcva1 Posted January 15, 2010 Report Share Posted January 15, 2010 My HD which came with a Maxtor product has worked great for several years. When I did my last backup and ran out of space, HD went into 'space management?' status then ended. Nothing has been right since. I have reformatted the drive and all seems well with it...I can write to and read from from XP applications. However, HD hangs 'checking status' when I load it. I have reloaded all software. Is there a solution from HD's perspective or is their some relationship between maxtor and HD that has been damaged?
