sonic_debris
My system is WinXP Pro with an ACER 8432A CD-RW. The device is not supported by retrospect, so I did that "custom" setup. All works fine during the setup, but I can't complete a successful backup (bad backup set header). My CD-RW seems to work fine during the custom setup, but when I do a backup the record light along with the "access" light starts blinking (usually the record light will stay red and the access light will blink green). Any ideas why this program would act normal during the setup, but not during a backup? Also, during a backup, I can never reach the full speed of my CD-RW. The 8X drive will start out at 8X, but quickly drift down to 45MB/min (around 4X).
sonic_debris
Here is an Update. The system works only with CD-RW's that have to be erased. If I try to burn to a CD-R, I get Header problems... and if I stick in a CD-RW, it erases it and burns the backup like a champ. Any ideas?
