Christian22
I have a Tandberg T24 library which I use with Backup Exec on my windows 2003 64bit server. After installing Retrospect single server trial, (which i want to use for networked Macintosh backups) the devices display shows the unit's tape drive but not the slots. It seems to see the unit as a stand alone drive and not a library. If there isn't a tape in the drive, it sees it as empty. I have to manually load a blank tape into the tape reader for it to be seen in Retrospect. When using Backup Exec on the same server, I can see the full set up - tape drive and it's slots. I need retrospect to manage the full library and auto-load tapes etc... Do I need a driver? Is this unit supported?
Mayoff
If backup exec is still installed, it may have a driver loading that is causing a conflict. You need to totally uninstall Backup Exec and give it another try with Retrospect. We load our drives during program launch and not at system startup like Backup Exc.
