comregen Posted December 8, 2009 Report Share Posted December 8, 2009 Hello to all. Using RS 7.5 Single Server w/ 1 Client and (8 single) Iomega REV 70 disks for backup. Each disk contains 1 Backup Set with 1 Member, Normal Backup, 500+ Sessions and 20+ Snapshots for the same day every week (Daily Rotation). Fast Catalog Rebuild is enabled. These disks are full and must re-use. Will Grooming the Daily Disk reclaim enough disk space for continuous use? Any suggestions are much appreciated. Maybe; not enough information to answer. See if this Knowledge Base article helps: How Grooming Works Depending on your grooming settings, grooming will retain some number of snapshots and all of the files necessary to support those snapshots.
