rdanamcd
What exactly happens when selecting Multiple Media Sets in a backup or proactive script? Does it backup to both media sets or only backup to the next one if the first media set is unavailable? Or does it alternate? Thanks! rhwalker
For a backup script, neither. Each has a schedule.
rdanamcd
That's nice for a backup script but don't see where you can choose a different media set in the proactive script schedule. Does anyone know what happens when multiple media sets are selected for a Proactive Script? thanks
rhwalker
Does anyone know what happens when multiple media sets are selected for a Proactive Script? Perhaps the EMC programmers know, but they haven't revealed that information to the rest of us because no manual exists. The best there is in the absence of a manual is the Windows Retrospect 7.5/7.6 Users Guide, pages 140-146: Copies to the most ideal available Backup Set in the destinations list. Automatic media rotation among multiple available Backup Sets. Russ
