Carillon
I had a media set with 3 disks as members. Disk 2 died and now the grooming is stuck at the point where it says it needs media. I try stopping the grooming but nothing happens. What can I do to stop retrospect from asking for disk 2?
rhwalker
Have you tried clicking the "Pause Scheduled" or "Pause All" button?
Carillon
Yes, I tried pausing all and that didn't allow me to stop the grooming. Thanks for the reply.
rhwalker
Does the console seem otherwise responsive? It may be that it is not reporting the true state. What happens if you quit the console and relaunch?
Carillon
I tried quitting the console no luck, I also stopped the engine and when I restart it the grooming job just picks up where it left off asking for disk 2.
rhwalker
Ok, what happens if you go to the schedules and disable all schedules, then try your trick of stopping / starting the engine?
rrrichie
Funny how versions further Retrospect 12 it still has still issue, driving me nuts. Rebooting machine, killing processes nothing works, always this one dumb ass grooming job asking for media.
DavidHertzberg
How about doing a Rebuild of the affected media set, giving the Rebuild only Disk 1 and Disk 3 in Carillon's case? Surely Retrospect won't try to groom a disk Member it doesn't know about any more.
