sattar
so i just switched to vista (no comment please) and purchased retrospect express hd 2.5 to be able to use my old maxtor II drive. i installed the software and opened it. the drive is recognized and my existing restore points are showing. however, when i try to setup a backup, i get an error. i follow through selecting the type of backup and the files and the drive to back up to and then get the following error at the end: can't save setup. check the selected drive to make sure there is enough disk space. has anyone experienced this, seen it before, can help me? any direction would be much appreciated. areen

sattar
error: can't save setup. check the selected drive to make sure there is enough disk space received while trying to setup a backup. i think i can create a video of the process if you need to see exactly what i'm doing. sattar
solution courtesy of technical support: 1. close retrospect express hd 2. locate the restore points folder on the maxtor drive 3. delete the .rbc file 4. reopen retrospect express hd 5. wait for backup maintenance to complete 6. should be able to complete backup setup process now. thanks, tech support!
