safnsiada Posted August 14, 2009 Report Share Posted August 14, 2009 After a hard drive crash, we tried to restore our files form external drive to a new hard drive at a complete new pc. After reinstalling of retrospect express HD of one touch II and updating to retrospect express HD 1.1 form Maxtor it is possible to activate new backups and restore the new backups, but it is not possible to restore the old backups. In the backup folder are several *.rdp files and no catalogue file. How I can get the old files back? We tried a trail version of retrospect express HD 2.5 and a trail of retrospect. With no version it is possible to restore old files. Our OS is windows xp totally updated and retrospect express HD 1.1 with Maxtor one touch II.
