shager
Hi, I have a Windows2003 server and secure so Windows2003 virtual server (vmware). The data throughput is only 144 MB / Min. Normal Windows Server create 800 MB / Min. Has anyone a hint what man could do to speed up? Drivers, Retrospekt, vmware everything up to date. Ramon88
Is this a client on the virtual server, or is it your Retrospect server that's installed on that virtual server?
shager
The Retrospect Server is not virtuell. The Client is virtuell.
Ramon88
I checked our logs for performance of our virtual machines. Though we use 2008 with Hyper-V instead of VMware. Some of our virtual servers are still 2003. Our speeds are more than 900MB/min during the backup phase. These figures are for quite recent hardware. What hardware are you running on? Performance can fluctuate a lot depending on file sizes and the amount of files. Also I/O is an important factor to consider. Does the vm have enough dedicated RAM etc.?
