darrensen 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 Hi, I would like to uninstall retrospect 8 from my system. Im convinced that it's causing issues with Retrospect 6. I've ran the uninstaller, but where else does retrospect keep it's preferences. I would like to completely remove. Thanks
Mayoff 124 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 library\application support\Retrospect When using version 6, you can just stop the Retrospect 8 engine in system preferences. That will totally disable version
CallMeDave 7 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 Just to add (and to correct Robin's slash direction), Retrospect Classic never used, and has no knowledge of, the files in (or even the existence of) the /Library/Application Support/Retrospect/ folder. So assuming that you have uninstalled the Retrospect Engine, there's nothing in that folder that would interact with Retrospect 6. I'm not sure what has convinced you, but it's not likely accurate. darrensen 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2009 Probably just me being paranoid then. Thanks for the location of preferences.

CallMeDave 7 Report post Posted January 21, 2011 In the 6.3.029 there is no preference file in application support!Library/Preferences/ has a file "retroclient.state" As the name implies, the retrocllient.state file is the preferences for the OS X Client application. It holds the client name and password. Encrypted, which is why your text editor doesn't give you much to see.
