nstevens Posted March 12, 2009 Report Share Posted March 12, 2009 I have a Linux HA system with a mirrored drive between two clients. I have installed the retroclient on both machines but it doesn't recognize the combined IP or name just the individual machine names, that means if the system switches from primary to secondary the backup now fails. Is there away to force a IP or name to the retroclient other that it getting it for it's self from the individual machine? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mauricev Posted March 24, 2009 Report Share Posted March 24, 2009 You should be able to access whichever system is primary by using the HA IP address via direct entry. Also, try keeping /var/log/retroclient.state file the same between the two systems. Then it should continue working on the secondary if the primary system were to fail.
