sarlan Posted March 9, 2002 Report Share Posted March 9, 2002 I restore 1.2 gig from DLT and it occupies 9.3 gig on the destination drive. WHY? I have a new G4 Powerbook to replace the now dead G4 powerbook and I am unable to restore the 7.7 gig to a 30 gig Firewire drive. I need to restore to the firewire drive in order to transport the data from the SCSI tape drive to the non-SCSI G4 Powerbook. If I "Get Info" on the files it shows the the size as: 9.29 gig on disk (1,245,087,409 bytes). I need help please as I need to get the new system up and running in order to get back to work. Thanks!
