badgandalf
Hi, Just bought and installed a brand new Storcenter ix2 with Retrospect Express HP. I proceeded with installation without issues on a couple XP computers in my home network. I can access shared drives in the Storcenter (drive letter Z:\Backup and Z:\Public) and can I launch Retrospect Express HD, select files for backup up and then, but when I get to the 'Select disks to store backup' there is only a blank screen where there is nothing to select. Nor the Storcenter, neither any local drive. Could anyone please help me and see what could be wrong with this? Thanks a lot, Ignacio
Mayoff
Do you have the Storecenter mapped with a drive letter as a network disk
badgandalf
Yes I do. But Retrospect does not even show local drives. Simple blank screen with nothing to choose from. Igncio
Mayoff
You could have corrupt preferences. Exit Express HD and delete the Retroexpress folder in documents and settings\all users\application data
badgandalf
Thnx. I'll try this tomorrow. BTW I see I have version 2.1. something (not 2.5) but if I click on it to search for updates, it says it has the most updated version. Could that be part of the problem? Mayoff
2.5 is a free download from our website if you want it.
badgandalf
Ok. So I tried reinstalling and the result is the same. I then downloaded and installed Retrospect Express HD 2.5 and it works flawlessly to run backups. However, the Storcenter software does not seem to recognize this version of Retrospect and says it is not installed, with the result that I cannot control backups remotely or see the status via their web interface. Is there any solution to this? Thnx and best, Ignacio
