rrauschkolb Posted December 31, 2008 Report Share Posted December 31, 2008 Hello, I'm trying to do a full recovery on windows server 2003 (with SBS) using ver 7.5.116 All goes well until the system reboots after the recovery is finished. Then I get the Lsass.exe error: Security Accounts Manager initialization failed because of the following error: Directory Services cannot start. When I hit F8 and boot to "directory services restore mode" the windows login appears, but immediately after I enter my login info it displays "shutting down" and the system hangs up. any ideas? rrauschkolb Posted January 1, 2009 Author Report Share Posted January 1, 2009 Service pack 2 was installed at the time of backup. no service packs were installed when restoring.
