abca
I have searched the forum as well as the KB, I have looked through the software and the help with no luck. I think this should be a simple thing. Does anyone know of a way to establish a password on a backup set after the backup set has been created. I know it can be done when you initially create the backup set but I would like to be able to add a password to one that already exists and does not yet have a password. Thanks! Mayoff
The password is part of the backup set format. You can ONLY add the password when you create the backup set, never later.
rhwalker
You could, though, create a different backup set with a password and transfer the contents of the first (no password) backup set to the second (password) backup set. Use Retrospect's Transfer command. Russ
