Philipp
Hello, we are using Retrospect 7.6 on Windows 2008 64-bit. We sometimes have problems when trying to start Retrospect: MSIE claims that about:security_retromonitor.exe is not a trusted web place and that content is blocked. After closing the message, Retrospect Monitor launches instead of the Retrospect Application. Starting retrospect.exe directly causes the same problem. Sometimes a restart of the server or renaming retromonitor.exe helps. Any suggestions are appreciated. Philipp
Mayoff
The Retrospect Monitor uses Microsoft .net framework and utilizes some network ports as part of the normal interaction internally on your computer. No communication takes place beyond your computer. A firewall may have some aspects of Microsoft .net communication blocked.
rblocker
In my case, this happened because retrospect was running under another account in a Terminal Services session. I could kill the process with Task Manager and then I was able to launch Retrospect under my account. There's no need to reboot.
