robvil
Hi, I know it´s a stupid question, but how do I move my catalog files from D2D and D2Tape to a newly added drive? Robert
Mayoff
I don't understand. Are you trying to do a backup set transfer? You can copy catalog files in Windows explorer to the disk of your choice, if that is what you are asking. Just double click on the catalog after it has been moved. I have rerun the transfer but no new files was copied. Original backup set: 113,7Gb 82.251 files 483 sessions 18 snapshots New backup set: 112.3Gb 80.214 files 482 sessions 11 snapshots Both backup sets are identical regarding grooming which is set to remove backups older than 5. Why the difference? Robert

Mayoff
Did you do a backup set transfer for a snapshot transfer? The transfer will use matching too so that it only copies unique files and not multiple identical copies of files.
robvil
I did a "transfer backup sets" under Tools. Acording to the manual it should transfer the complete backup set so they are identical. Then why are they not identical? Mayoff
Matching between backup sets may be filtering more data then matching during the original backup. You can disable matching and do the transfer again if you want.
