cmp119
It appears our servers were manually shutdown in the middle of an Exchange IS disk backup, and I have approx. 30 backup files (partial backup) in the 1-Exchange Disk folder. I want to know if there is any problem simply deleting these files via Windows Explorer? I simply want to cleanup before initiating a new backup. Mayoff
You can do a recycle backup operation to delete the entire contents of the backup set and start over again.
cmp119
Thanks for the feedback, but I have a previous backup that I do not remove. I have a valid backup from last week that I want to retain within the same backup set. So that is why I inquired if there is a problem with manually deleting the files from the failed backup. Mayoff
never manually delete the files, it will leave your backup "corrupt" and cause problems later.
