Guest Posted July 5, 2008 Report Share Posted July 5, 2008 I've been using Retrospect Backup 6.1.126 successfully for a while, backing up from my Powermac G4 (400 MHz AGP sawtooth) to an external Firewire drive -- a PATA hard drive in a third-party enclosure. Recently, the enclosure has begun to show its age, so I moved the PATA drive into the G4 by acquiring an interface PCI card -- a SIIG UltraATA 133/100 Pro. The drive seems to works fine -- all the files show up in Finder and Disk Utility reports its full size, with no problems. Unfortunately, though, Retrospect Backup now hangs, shortly after launching -- and crashes the whole computer. Any ideas, anyone? Thanks....
