mfostr
When I do a backup it finishes with a message "backup ran with errors" and I can look at the specific items, but don't understand the details. Can I ignore these errors? Does this mean something is wrong with the backup and it is corrupted? What should I do? I am so green. Thanks for any and all input. Mayoff
You need to open the log and see what errors are displayed.
mfostr
Virusscan, Google desktop, Outlook, My Pictures, they all state "[sharing violation]" at the end of the line. Then it says Snapshot stored Then there are more errors that say "different modify date/time" for McAfee, Skype, Google, and Windows system. Then a summary, "38 errors" and numbers for completed, performance, and duration.
Mayoff
Sharing violations are for open files during backup. Those open files could not be copied. The date/time errors can be ignored.
