blm14
I have an individual mac which always has this error. I've tried re-installing the client many times and even tried the new mac beta client. Whats going on? I'm using retrospect 7.5.512, 7.5.14.

docmac7672
I'm not on a network
Mayoff
re-installing the client many times I'm not on a network The definition of a network: Any connection of two or more computers that enables them to communicate. Networks may include transmission devices, servers, cables, routers and satellites. www.pvt.com/oth/glossary.htm This doesn't make any sense at all then. 1) 519 is a Network Communication error 2) The Retrospect Client software you keep reinstalling is a tool used to backup computers over a NETWORK 3) Retrospect 7.5 is a Windows Product 4) You have a Macintosh you are trying to backup, I am assuming the Macintosh is not the same physical computer as the Windows computer. I guess you need to explain a LOT more detail about your environment if you don't have a network, because the client software should NEVER be used if you don't have a network. blm14
domac said he's not on a network, not I. I _am_ on a network. I think this -519 thing is going to be a lot of hassle - I have 2 or 3 macs which seem to be having this problem...

MRIS
you might need to create an exception in the firewall on the Mac for the retrospect client or port.
