Mayoff
Our knowledgebase article published when we announced 2007 support pointed to an older version of the C++ 2005 Redistribution Package. The best version to be used with Retrospect is at: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...;DisplayLang=en The KB article will be updated on Monday morning. Mayoff
If you are updating to the latest version you should forget the Exchange Server from the Client database (if it is a client) and add it again. If this is a local backup, unlicense and relicense the exchange server after installing the update.
criminala
The link you have given is for 64 bit systems only . Is this the link for x86 : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/thank...;displayLang=en ?
Mayoff
I checked with our engineers and Retrospect only supports Exchange 2007 on x64 systems. We have not tested on x86
criminala
So if I understand right , the C++ 2005 redistribution package only needs to be installed on the exchange 2007 server itself ? And not on the retrospect backup server ?
Mayoff
Yes, that is correct
