I just bought an LG GSA-H54L burner and have since learned that Retrospect won't recognize +RW media (which I've been using for years with Retro and supported Pioneer burners) - at least until EMC coughs up a compatible driver. Using manual configuration, all the h/w tests are passed fine, but Retrospect hangs on the writes. This makes me think a crossflash using a 'supported' LG device might rectify the problem? The device itself is great: it works flawlessly with all media outside of Retro...my bad for not checking the compatibility list first!
