works in OS 9.2, but not OS X

I cannot get Retrospect workgroup version 5.0.205 to work in OS X. When I get to the screen where you insert the cd into my Firewire QPS model PX-W1210A (which is listed as supported) and nothing happens. I have read all the FAQs I could find on the subject and supposedly Retrospect will just take the Cd like it does in OS 9.2 just fine. Does anyone know how to get this to work?
