Guest Posted March 18, 2002 Report Share Posted March 18, 2002 Using a desktop G-3 with Mac OS 9.22. Retro Express 4.3 with 2.5 driver. I have been doing exact duplicates of my main hard drive to a same-size external drive with no problems for many months. Now when I try using the same script, Retro-Express freezes after copying anywhere from 30 Mb to 100 Mb of files. I have tried with only Mac OS base extensions. I have tried trashing preferences. I have tried reloading Retrospect Express and latest driver. In each case the duplication fails at some point, never at the same file. It fails by freezing (locking up everything) which I can only get out of by a forced restart (Command/option/power switch)> Any suggestions.
