architecture Posted March 7, 2002 Report Share Posted March 7, 2002 Dear Mac Retrospect forum, I have just had an experience that has undermined my confidence in the 'search' catalog of Retrospect. Maybe I am missing something here or doing something daft. I went looking for a particular folder called 'Term 22' searching in the 'Immediate' tab using 'Search for File or Folders' and 'contains' - I got '0' results searching both backup sets. However when I went to a specific machine via the 'restore files for a backup' and choose a 'snapshot' I was able to find the 'Term 22' folder with all its files. I always assumed the 'Search for File or Folders' option searched the complete backup set catalogs but this seems to indicate otherwise. I thgought I might have to rebuild the catalogs but as both sets appear to have this problem I am not sure why 'Search for File or Folders' is not finding things that are there on the backup. any ideas Ian Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
