rip Posted February 10, 2002 Report Share Posted February 10, 2002 I'm using Retrospect Express with an Ultra SCSI ORB drive. I'm using a G4 450 (AGP) with OS 9.1. When I use the "Duplicate" function, my copy speeds are much slower than standard Finder speeds. Here's an example copying a 25 MB folder from the internal HD to the ORB: Time to copy using Finder = 15 seconds Time to copy using Retrospect Express Duplicate = 40 seconds (copy only, no compare done) Why would the transfer rate be so much lower using Retrospect?
