Retrospect won't backup my local disk (system crash)

I use Restrospect Pro 7.5.387 (Driver + Hot Fix V. 7.5.12.103) on Win XP pro.

I have 2 hard drives: #1 has 2 partitions (C: and D:), #2 has only one partition (E:). All disks are NTFS.

I want to backup disk D: to Disk E:. When I start a file backup, Restrospect displays "Preparing for Open File Backup", then the computer crashes and reboots.

It happens only when the source is D:. I back up 3 remote clients on drive E: and it's working fine.

I have tried different things to isolate/solve the problem:

-Reinstall Retrospect to earlier version

-Remove the "system restore" feature of all drives

The only way to stop the computer from crashing is to disable the "Back up Open files" option.

Can someone help me with this?

Thanks in advance
