Penmaster
I have Retrospect 6.1 on an OS 10 computer backing up the Macintosh HD (the startup drive) on an OS 9 client. I get execution errors on a number of open files on the client. How do I close the files before backup? They are opened automatically upon startup. Do I startup from a CD on the client in order to backup the startup drive?
rhwalker
Are you logging out of the Mac OS 9 computer so that the client is showing the screen saver bouncing Dantz cube? That's what we do, and we have never seen this error on the couple of Mac OS 9 computers that we have. You also don't provide versions for Retrospect or the Retrospect OS 9 client. I assume you have the current updates. Russ
Mayoff
I even forgot about that option. Shutdown of the computer will display the waiting for backup screen on OS 9, allowing for a smooth backup.
