meld51
Hello, I've just needed to perform a restore of several thoudand files over my wireless network. Every now and then Retrospect fails probably because of a network problem and I have to set it going again. This is not too much of a problem but my question is this: What happens to the file that is being restored at the moment that the connection fails? Is it only partially restored or is it completely deleted? The reason I ask is that when I set Retrospect going again, what does it know about that file? Will it re-restore it because it knows there was a problem or does it see a good file and leave it as it is, even though the restore was incomplete? There are so many files in this restore that I can't really see that last file.
AmyJ
Retrospect will compare files in the source and destination prior to the restore. Any file that does not exactly match will be overwritten (restored).
