m3rls
Hi there, We had a botched exchange restore a few weeks ago (We could only retrieve the mailbox individually, the info store was unhappy and didn't want to play). We have pulled the mailboxes back into line and recreated the backup sets, etc, but when trying to run a simple backup of the info store we get the following error in the log file: Quote: + Recycle backup using Untitled at 8/02/2007 7:31 PM (Execution unit 1) * Resolved container Exchange Server on smc-svrexc to 1 volumes: First Storage Group on smc-svrexc To Backup Set Drew Test... 8/02/2007 7:31:00 PM: Recycle backup: The Backup Set was reset - 8/02/2007 7:31:00 PM: Copying First Storage Group on smc-svrexc 8/02/2007 7:31:00 PM: Connected to smc-svrexc Backup type: Full Trouble reading files, error -3619 (Database not found) 8/02/2007 7:43:22 PM: Execution incomplete Remaining: 2 files, 5,136 KB Completed: 1 files, 4.7 GB Performance: 390.2 MB/minute Duration: 00:12:21 (00:00:16 idle/loading/preparing) According to the KB article for that error (however that's apparently only during a restore while we're trying to back up), it has something to do with a recovery storage group. We originally created one in the exchange server to try to restore the info store but abandoned it when it didn't work, it's since been deleted but this error persists. If anybody could suggest anything which might fix this issue we'd be most grateful!! Thanks.
m3rls
Hi again, This morning with a fresh head I went and looked at the Exchange System Manager, and I noticed the public store was not mounted (still determining why), I mounted it and the backup worked perfectly. So, if anyone ever gets this error on a backup, make sure both the public & private stores are mounted .
