tanakh777
Hi all. I have an Exchange 2000 server running on Windows 2000 server. They are installed on a VMWare Server virtual machine. I have Retrospect 7.5.324 with driver and Hot fix version 7.5.9.102 running on a separate server and the Retrospect Client version 7.5.116 running on the Exchange server. My problem is backing up the databases. I can backup the mailboxes just fine, but the db's error out. I am doing a disk to disk backup. Below is a copy of the error message I get. AmyJ
Are there any corresponding errors in the Windows Event Log that might provide more information?
tanakh777
Amy, thanks for the reply. I get 3 messages in the Event viewer. 1: Trouble Reading Files. Error -1004 (Database Backup/restore error), Category - None, Event ID 1. 2: Script Failed during automatic execution, error -1004 (Database Backup/restore error), Category - None, Event ID 2. 3: Script Incomplete. Category - None, Event ID 1. All three messages sent by Retrospect. Messages 1 & 3 listed as errors, #2 listed as information. There are 5 databases that are supposed to be backed up. It gets through 3 of them and fails on the fourth. I have no idea how to figure out which database it's failing on. Any ideas? Thanks again Greg
