cberryRMI
When backing up the Exchange Mailboxes object, I get an error in the log on some mailboxes that I can't find n documentation. These errors slow down execution greatly: TMailboxFolder:OpenEntry: bad hr = 0x80004005 (or similar hex #) Sometimes it happens only once, sometimes it repeats. Can anybody tell me what this means? I suppose it's a problem with an item/items in the Exchange DB. If so, are there any Exchange experts in the forum who can tell me how to avoid/fix them? TIA (apologies for posting this in two forums)
AmyJ
I would try running the ESEUTIL utility from Microsoft. As with anything, read the instructions and use it with care. I would perform a Full backup prior to attempting any repairs. In fact, prior to making any "repairs" to a critical system I'd probably make 2 Full backups to different backup sets.
