menab0t
I am running Retrospect 5 on OS9. I am backing up to a Ready NAS NV network attached storage device and when prompted for a destination by retrospect I choose a backup set which is configured to be of type "file". For test purposes I have chosen just one computer to backup over the network which is also a mac but running OSX. When I start the backup server everything seems to run fine and on completion in the server window it states that the client machine has indeed been backed up also displays the next backup time scheduled. However the backup is empty according to retrospect content browser and the file size in finder is 45mb which is much too small.
nekr0phage
Hi, What does the operation log list for data completed? Are you using the 'All Files' selector or a custom one? I ask because often behavior like this is caused by an invalid custom selector. Can you perform a test backup to a volume local to the backup server (i.e. not the ReadyNAS)?
